Narcan Boxes Installed Across С»Æ贫ý Campuses and Select Centers – Training Available

What is Narcan?

In alignment with С»Æ贫ý’s shared commitment to student wellbeing, safety, and harm reduction, С»Æ贫ý’s Student Wellbeing, Engagement & Belonging (SWEB) Division is proud to announce the installation of wall-mounted Narcan (naloxone) boxes. Narcan is a safe, life-saving medication that quickly reverses opioid overdoses, including those caused by fentanyl. These boxes, like AEDs and fire extinguishers, provide fast access in an emergency and support С»Æ贫ý’s primary overdose response by Public Safety Officers, who are trained and equipped with Narcan.

Where are the Narcan boxes located?

• Cascade Campus – Student Union, Near the Panther Pantry
• Southeast Campus – Tabor Hall, Near the Panther Pantry
• Sylvania Campus – College Center, Near the Panther Pantry
• Rock Creek Campus – Building 5, Near the Panther Pantry
• Willow Creek Opportunity Center – First floor wall across from the Public Safety booth
• Hillsboro Center – Near the defibrillator and first aid box
• The Opportunity Center at 42nd Avenue – Lobby area next to the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Narcan Training is Available

Staff and faculty are encouraged to complete free online Narcan training provided by or by the  and attend a training from our Counseling & Wellness Services Team to learn more. These sessions will cover how to recognize an overdose and how to safely administer Narcan.

Summer 2025 С»Æ贫ý Training Schedule

• July 8 at 3pm – Cascade Campus (CA)
• July 9 at 10am – Southeast Campus (SE)
• July 10 at 12pm – Virtual Session
• July 29 at 1pm – The Opportunity Center at 42nd Avenue (OC42nd)
• July 30 at 10am – Virtual Session
• July 31 at 1pm – Virtual Session
• August 18 at 10am – Cascade Campus (CA)
• August 20 at 1pm – Virtual Session
• August 21 at 11am – Southeast Campus (SE)

Please and a meeting invite will follow. A reminder of the training sessions will be sent in early July, and additional training sessions will be offered in the fall term. Training sessions are roughly 45 minutes, with time at the end for Q&A.
