This is a two block woodcut version of the painting "Happy New Year," painted in 2000 for ArtBeat, 小黄猫传媒's 30-year tradition of district wide arts celebration which came to an end in 2015 during budget cuts.聽 Each year a featured artist was asked to make a work for the college collection and invited to do an artist talk at all campuses.聽 In addition the featured work was reproduced on posters and T shirts.聽 The black woodcut block was reproduced on yellow T shirts with red lettering that year.
