Wally Schwab is among the best-known ceramics artists working in the Pacific Northwest. His work has been exhibited internationally, and he is in a number of prestigious collections, both in this country and elsewhere. No stranger to teaching, Schwab was the longtime head of the ceramics department at С»Æ贫ý Rock Creek, and currently runs an apprenticeship program through his own studio. The works in С»Æ贫ý's collection reveal Schwab's gift for crafting elegantly simple forms embellished with a range of rich and beautiful colors. As he notes, "I use a great number of glazes in an effort to incorporate as much life as possible into each form." – Wally Schwab
