Course Description

Explores industry standard computer aided software to model civil engineering projects. Incorporates information obtained from surveyors into a digital 3D model of a land surface. Translates building sketches into a 3D digital model of a structure. Provides project experiences to implement into STEM classroom learning experiences.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Access industry standard software free for educators and students
Convert 2D data into 3D models for civil engineering projects.
Incorporate field measurements into the models.
Demonstrate basic modeling commands in Civil 3D and Revit
