Cascade Gallery is proud to present Derek Franklin, Anthologies of Collage, an exhibition of collage, prints, and object installations. Franklin’s work explores the industrializing of minimalism theory by constructing found paper collage as a blueprint for digital inkjet prints. To print is to press something onto the surface, Franklin produces currently not available or out-of-print, post-industrial nation social economic workforce systems publishing contemporarily relevant digital prints. His object installations are built of paper, pieces of wood, custom steel implements, and materials that are transitive to collage making sensual, interactive, and dimensional experiences for the viewer.

Derek Franklin, a former С»Æ贫ý student is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Pacific Northwest College of Art. It’s exciting to present a young artist with such huge potential, pursuing his desires, and in the process of obtaining artistic endeavors.
