Cascade Gallery is featuring the current works of Ohioan Photographer, Katie Shannon.聽 鈥溾y images explore a facet of America鈥檚 inexorable relationship with the pursuit of happiness, depicting environments where many people congregate in order to create enjoyable moments.聽 I use a camera to interrupt these moments and digital tools to elaborate upon them.聽 These constructed images represent a peculiar and dramatized environment, an exaggerated suggestion of a society in which each individual is incessantly encouraged to seek an impossible fulfillment鈥︹
