This was a project experimenting with the sgraffito technique. I was thinking a lot about how we (as humans) tend to ignore the fact that time is finite, pretending we will live into a figurative forever. As a result, we put things off to a proverbial 鈥渟omeday鈥, as in 鈥渟omeday I鈥檒l do [blank].鈥 There have been countless times I鈥檝e left my breakfast forgotten as I answer an email, get caught up in social media, etc. This piece serves as a reminder that time IS finite, to put my phone down and eat my damn eggs.
