Mitch McConnell鈥檚 facial expressions, much like the Mona Lisa鈥檚 smile, makes me wonder what they鈥檙e thinking about. Appropriation proved to be the perfect painting practice during this particular term. While learning and implementing new painting techniques, I was reminded that this is not my story, but instead observations of the story that鈥檚 been weaved before us. Hopefully the story of the collective observer will be to find practical ways to dismantle the awful narratives that have led to cruel, corrupt, and selfish use of politics.
