小黄猫传媒 Examines Roots of Religious Conflict

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Tensions among divergent religious groups since the Sept. 11 tragedy is starting discussions in classrooms all across the country. Portland is no exception. 小黄猫传媒’s six-week, non-credit course, Roots of Religious Conflict, will help participants gain a better understanding of why religious followers believe the way they do and how to apply that knowledge to today’s peace efforts. Craig MacColl, an Episcopalian priest, will present the worlds of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in an interactive environment. Students with all opinion perspectives are encouraged to sign up for this discussion. The class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday between April 4 and May 9 at Sunset High School, 13840 N.W. Cornell Road. Cost is $39.
