Two Items: Local Teachers Go Back to School With С»Æ贫ý Costa Rica Excursion

PORTLAND, Ore. – Local educators can earn extra credit by brushing up on cultural lessons first-hand through a summer С»Æ贫ý trip to Costa Rica. In conjunction with Portland State University, С»Æ贫ý will guide teachers to practice Spanish, observe South American school systems, live with host families, and explore the natural wonders of Costa Rica in this unique travel-study program.Costa Rica for Educators offers a graduate three-credit option or non-credit option. Bill Christopher, executive dean of С»Æ贫ý’s Rock Creek Campus, will lead the excursion this summer, July 27 through Aug. 12. С»Æ贫ý’s non-credit travel excursion, Harry Potter’s England, is perfect for parents, children, teachers and all fans who are interested in discovering real-life English charm.Nancy Horner will lead the trip, departing June 15 and returning June 24. Cost for the trip is $2,799 for adults and $1,999 for children.
