TIGARD, Ore. – Want to learn how to fix a few things around the home? Don’t know where to start? С»ÆÃ¨´«Ã½ will offer the non-credit Basic Home Maintenance Series beginning this September. Instructor Harriett Miller will show students how to save hundreds of dollars on home repair by picking up a few basics with this fun, interactive class featuring hands-on practice on a wide variety of projects.The series will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 23 through Oct. 28, at the Tigard Senior Center, 8815 S.W. O’Mara Road. The cost is $59 for the series plus $15 payable to the instructor. Individual sessions are $15 each. There is a $3 material fee for each class. Topics include The Basic Toolbox (Sept. 23), Electricity – Don’t Be Left in the Dark (Sept. 30), Plumbing – Leaving a Watermark (Oct. 7), Walls – No More Blank Ones!
