PORTLAND, Ore. – For many women, taking time out from careers to have children or to nurture families is the right choice. But when it’s time to re-enter the workforce, where do you start? A С»ÆÃ¨´«Ã½ upcoming non-credit class can help you make the transition.Career Transitions for Women Over 35 is designed to first help you assess where you are – to clarify your interests and take stock of your knowledge and skills. Then, professional career counselor and instructor Geraldine Roos will focus on self-development, confidence building, networking and risk taking. The result is confident preparation for job interviews, and a personal plan for reentering or changing jobs in the workforce."This class has changed women’s lives,"said Tsipora Dimant, С»ÆÃ¨´«Ã½ Community Education manager. "Geraldine is truly motivating. Whether changing jobs or picking up a career where they left off, I have watched women in this class get a new lease on life over and over again." The four-week class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 17 through Feb. 7, in the Spruce Room at the С»ÆÃ¨´«Ã½ Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $129.
