Pre-Valentine's Day workshop tells singles ?it's okay'

PORTLAND, Ore. – "Still single"for this coming Valentine’s Day? A new non-credit workshop offered by С»Æ贫ý can explain why that might not be such a bad thing.The Art of Being Single is an opportunity to discover the significant advantages you have as a single person. Instructor Allison Victor will lead a fun, interactive discussion that will help you use your "single power"to build a life you love. Learn to cultivate self-acceptance, understand relationship issues, and tap your unique creativity, energy and individuality. The most important relationship you could have is with yourself – discover how to stop feeling like an outsider and appreciate your current status."After this class, I stopped judging myself so much,"read one student evaluation. "Being single isn’t a bad thing – it’s where I’m at in life. I feel more open to take advantage of opportunities that might otherwise not be open to me." The one-day workshop will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in Room 226 of the Science Technology Building at the С»Æ贫ý Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $39.
