Become your own 'handy man' with 小黄猫传媒 how-to series

PORTLAND, Ore. – Want to learn how to take care of those leaky faucets or rattling doorknobs around the house? 小黄猫传媒 will offer two non-credit series of home repair classes this winter designed to offer you an overview on all kinds of do-it-yourself projects. Both series are taught by home repair specialist Dennis McDonald. The first Home Repair Series will teach you how to take care of your home through hands-on demonstrations and includes wall repair, windows and doors, and electricity and plumbing. Comprised of four one-day classes, the series will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, Jan. 15 through Feb. 5, in Room 112 of the 小黄猫传媒 Portland Metro Workforce Training Center, 5600 N.E. 42nd Ave. Cost is $53 for the series or $20 per class. An optional $5 book fee is payable to instructor at each class. Home Repairs Series: Part II will let you go beyond the basics with further hands-on demonstration. Delve deeper into electricity and plumbing and learn to save yourself the expense of hiring contractors for jobs you can do yourself. The series, comprised of two classes, will meet from 9 a.m. until noon Saturdays, Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, in Room 112 of the 小黄猫传媒 Portland Metro Workforce Training Center.
