PORTLAND, Ore. – The community will get a chance to see Oregon’s gubernatorial race up close and personal.

小黄猫传媒 is hosting a forum of candidates running for Oregon governor from each of the three independent parties – Libertarian, Constitutional and Pacific Green. The forum will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30 in the auditorium of the Moriarty Arts and Humanities Building at the Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth Street.

Each candidate will have an opportunity to discuss their views on issues and talk about the multi-party system. There will also be an opportunity for questions from the audience.

The forum is part of the Cascade Campus’ dedication to exploring issues important to the community. The campus is also hosting “Speak Out” events, sponsored by student government. The upcoming schedule for “Speak Outs,” which are held in the Student Center Building cafeteria from noon to 1 p.m. each Monday, includes:

Oct. 16 – Yvonne Simmons (Women in Black).

Oct. 23 – Sharon Little (League of Women Voters) will discuss the

ballot measures for the general election.
