Congratulations to the 2005-06 leadership interns and their mentors: Educational Programs Administrative Assistant Pattie Hill (Diane Mulligan, dean of Student Development at Sylvania); Multicultural Center Coordinator Claire Oliveros (Mulligan); Sociology Instructor Jan Abushakrah (Barb VanAmerongen, dean of Instruction at Sylvania); Biology Instructor Kendra Cawley (Craig Kolins; dean of Instruction/Student Development at the Southeast Center); and Dental Programs Director Josette Beach (John Saito, division dean of Health programs, Early Childhood Education and Physical Education).

Initiated in 2005, С»Æ贫ý’s Leadership Internship Program’s primary premise is that leadership should be exhibited throughout the organization. The Leadership Internship Program’s goals are to provide an individual employee with an in-depth professional development experience, support the development of employees in their current and future leadership roles, encourage employee leadership development in a manner that builds С»Æ贫ý’s leadership capacity, and completion of projects that benefit С»Æ贫ý and help implement the Education Master Plan.

All full-time С»Æ贫ý employees who have passed their probationary period may apply. Applications for the 2007-08 program are due May 25. Applications may be found on-line at the Staff Development Intranet site: .
