Soft Tissue Series aims to reduce pain

Story by

Everyone experiences some form of aches and pains now and then. So wouldn’t it be nice to be able to treat those pains at home and get on with your daily activities without using medication? This summer 小黄猫传媒 will offer a six-week series that will focus on identifying and treating soft-tissue pain.

The non-credit Soft Tissue Detective Series is designed for people who want to unlock the mysteries of body pain. Instructor Marsha Hanson will discuss how trigger points in the muscles can cause pain, stiffness, lost range of movement, and other symptoms. Learn how to find and treat the areas that cause problems. Wear flexible, comfortable clothing to all classes.

Topics include:

• Neck (July 26)

• Hand (Aug. 2)

• Hip (Aug. 9)

• Headache (Aug. 16)

• Shoulder (Aug. 23)

• Back (Aug. 30)

The six-week class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursdays, July 26 through Aug. 30, in Room 126 of Tabor Hall at the Southeast Center, 2305 S.E. 82nd Ave. Cost is $44.
