'Heartbeat' fair at Sylvania Campus

Celebrate Valentine’s Day and “American Heart Month” in February with 小黄猫传媒’s “Heart Beat” on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Upper Mall of the CC Building. The health fair will offer a variety of activities hosted by several of 小黄猫传媒’s allied health departments, including: Free blood press screenings, images of heart anatomy, testing in body mass index, Par Q form, waist-hip ratio; a step test; and proper equipment usage, information about cardiac rehabilitation, the latest about healthy and not-so-healthy fats, the caffeine content of energy drinks and the “Dash Diet” to lower high blood pressure and handouts about childhood obesity and tips to encourage healthy eating habits among children.
