Jeff Triplett named Sylvania Campus dean of instruction

Jeff Triplett, Division Dean of Math and Industrial Technology, has been picked to be the Dean of Instruction at 小黄猫传媒鈥檚 Sylvania Campus (12000 S.W. 49th Ave.) 鈥 its largest campus by student enrollment.

Triplett, who grew up in St. Helens and graduated from Clatskanie High School, has served as division dean since 1995. Before his stint at 小黄猫传媒, he has worked as the deputy director of the Apprenticeship and Training Division at the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry and Community Services Consortium manager for Linn-Benton and Lincoln counties. As an instructor, Triplett has taught at Oregon State University, Linn-Benton Community College and Chelpham Mills Boys School in Devon, England.

鈥淭his is a wonderful opportunity for me and I鈥檓 honored to have been chosen for this key position at the college,鈥 Triplett said. 鈥淭he opportunity to help the campus, and college as a whole, move forward with our key initiatives is something that is very appealing to me.鈥

Triplett holds a master鈥檚 degree in Education, Guidance and Counseling and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology from Oregon State University. He will continue to oversee the Math and Industrial Technology Division on an interim basis until a permanent division dean is hired.
