С»Æ贫ý gets 'Old Fashioned' at Newberg festival

Teresa Salinas, outreach and orientation coordinator for С»Æ贫ý Sylvania and Southeast Center, staffs С»Æ贫ý’s informational booth at Newberg’s annual Old Fashioned Festival in July. The Sylvania Campus spearheaded the participation, which included the booth, participated in a parade and showed off the college’s smart car. С»Æ贫ý plans to build an educational center in the Newberg area, one of the first projects stemming from the passage of the 2008 bond measure. Credit courses will be offered in the area beginning fall 2010, at a temporary site while the permanent facility is being constructed.
