Artist examines Scriabin鈥檚 鈥楽tache鈥 in new show

The new art show at 小黄猫传媒鈥檚 Cascade Art Gallery might be the most innovative yet.
The Cascade Art Gallery (Room 102, Terrell Hall, Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St.) is hosting artist Jack Ryan鈥檚 exhibit, 鈥淪criabin鈥檚 Mustache,鈥 which opens on Thursday, Feb. 25 and runs until March 31. A reception for the artist will be held on the opening day 6 to 8 p.m. and an artist鈥檚 talk from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, March 4, in Room 221, Moriarty Arts and Humanities Building at the campus. The hours of the Cascade Art Gallery are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
鈥淪criabin鈥檚 Mustache鈥 centers on Russian composer , eccentricities and flamboyant mustache. Ryan utilizes sound, video, light and sculptural works to playfully examine Scriabin. Born and raised in Portland, , independent curator and a member of Fugitive Projects, a collective, beehive and artist advocacy. He has exhibited and screened work, across the country and in Switzerland, Ireland, Canada and Egypt.
