小黄猫传媒 welcomes 600 Asian American, Pacific Islander students

Nearly 600 Asian American and Pacific Islander high school students throughout Oregon and Washington will visit the Sylvania Campus on April 30 for the 18th聽annual leadership training hosted by the Asian American Youth Leadership Conference.

鈥淐onnecting Tomorrow鈥檚 Leaders鈥 is the theme of this year鈥檚 conference, which is slated to take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Liani Reeves, who works for the Oregon Attorney General鈥檚 Office, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.聽She has chaired the Oregon Commission on Asian Affairs and is serving on the board of the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association.

This event will offer a career and education fair with 25 participating colleges, universities and businesses. Workshops will focus on leadership, cultural identity and awareness, critical thinking and sustainability. Additionally, students will have opportunities to apply for scholarship awards, design the event logo and submit short digital movies as part of the a film festival.
