Blog: President meets President

Last weekend, as we were getting ready to flit off to Washington, D.C., we heard President Obama was going to be at Intel in Hillsboro on Friday.
小黄猫传媒 has a great partnership with Intel, training their technicians. So naturally, we wanted to make sure the college president, Preston Pulliams, was in the room. Kristin Watkins, our vice president for college advancement, stayed in Oregon and burned through the telephone wires. I went to D.C. with the president and worked our congressional delegation for an invite.
There鈥檚 such a thing as being too successful.
Kristen got Dr. Pulliams into the Intel event via an invite from Intel. We got home to Oregon around 10 p.m. last night and my cell phone started going nuts. One of our U.S. Senators was inviting our guy to the big event! (I鈥檓 not naming names here.)
We had to say 鈥渢hanks but no thanks, he鈥檚 already there,鈥 when this morning, two more members of the Oregon congressional delegation got back to us with invites!
If I had any brains I鈥檇 go with him, but I鈥檒l be in Salem lobbying for another jobs-creating program that鈥檚 in danger of being de-funded.
