Sylvania student government opens Food Canteen for needy

The Sylvania AS小黄猫传媒 (student government) is launching a Food Canteen for students in need.
The grand opening will take place Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13 in the AS小黄猫传媒 offices (lower level, CC building, at the windows). Regular hours of operation will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., although students won鈥檛 be turned away if they come at other times.
Students can access the Food Canteen three times per term and obtain canned and non-perishable food items for themselves and their family members. Food donations are being provided by local grocery stores; seed funding from the 小黄猫传媒 Foundation and AS小黄猫传媒 also is helping to stock canteen shelves with food for the launch.
