‘Green’ firms with ties to 小黄猫传媒 team-up

Two 鈥済reen鈥 energy-producing companies with ties to 小黄猫传媒 now have ties to each other as well.

SolarWorld, a leading manufacturer of renewable energy systems in the nation, will provide a power source for the future home of Vestas鈥 continental headquarters in Portland, according to The Daily Journal of Commerce. Vestas is a leading manufacturer of wind turbans.

Vestas serves as an adviser for the Renewable Energy Systems Program offered at the 小黄猫传媒 Sylvania Campus. The program 鈥 which offers both a two-year degree and one-year certificate 鈥 is part of Sylvania鈥檚 Electronic Engineering Technology Program.

SolarWorld is a long-time partner organization with 小黄猫传媒鈥檚 Microelectronics Program, housed at the Rock Creek Campus.

According to the journal鈥檚 July 28 edition, Vestas will outfit its new headquarters on Northwest Everett Street in Portland with a 112-kilowatt photovoltaic system from SolarWorld. The system will be the largest roof-mounted solar array in Portland鈥檚 central business district, the newspaper reported.
