Taking in the new views (and buildings) at Cascade Campus

This summer crews finished pouring and polishing all three concrete floors in the new academic building. They are now ready to聽begin exterior framing and mechanical and electrical work.
Construction on the new student center – just across the new campus plaza along N. Albina Avenue – 聽is following work on the academic building by about three months. 聽Crews have almost finished installing the metal decking, including the metal beam that campus and community members signed at the National Night Out event in early August. 聽The signed beam has been installed on the top floor facing Albina Avenue and can be seen from the sidewalk. Later this month, crews will pour the concrete floors.
Cascade Campus’ new academic building is going up fast – scheduled to open for classes next fall (2014).
Pacificmark, an聽MWESB firm, is doing聽the interior work for the student center, as a sub contractor for Hoffman.
The underground parking garage is nearly complete. 聽Hoffman crews finished the concrete walls in the garage and the ramp leading down to it this summer and are now working on mechanical and electrical rough-in and the stairwells leading to the new academic building and student center. 聽Contractors finished painting the garage ceiling white and will install interior later this fall.
