小黄猫传媒 President Mark Mitsui strolls the Southeast Campus on Monday, Sept. 26.

Welcome back!

The new term and school year has officially started. It’s a unique beginning聽because the college leader is as fresh and new as 小黄猫传媒’s incoming first-year students. President Mark Mitsui has been touring the college district via the 小黄猫传媒 Shuttle in order to meet with students and staff to get a feel for the college culture聽and introduce himself to the community. He’s manned welcome tables, visited classes like math, ESOL, Spanish and psychology, to name a few, and toured student resource centers.

In addition to acclimating a new president, 小黄猫传媒’s first crop of Oregon Promise students started their first-ever classes (see classroom pictures below). College Survival instructors welcomed the students and engaged them in meet-and-greet exercises as well as discussed聽how to succeed at college.聽And there’s more to come for the rest of the week, so stay tuned!

Hello and welcome to 小黄猫传媒, always good to get new ideas and perspectives on education and learning. I am aware that you are very busy with a lot on your to do list( both job and personal), so to make this short there is only one restroom on the main floor of the CC building. Their is no women’s restroom and the men’s is a small facility in the N.W. entranceway. I am bringing this to your attention due to the accessibility neglect the 小黄猫传媒/Sylvania campus is experiencing. I would be a little more understanding if the year was 2000 but it is almost 2020 ( I know that’s 3 years away but that’s how long the ramp between the library and the TCB building has been closed). The education staff and personal, both administrative and support are unbelievable. A perfect model for other institutions of higher learning to follow, just the physical disability are horrid, a bare minimal of requirements of the federal act. Thank you for your time, once again welcome, great to have you onboard. Bob Havelka
