Photos and story by

Thirteen students, now in their last term of the two-year Automotive Service Technology certificate and associate degree programs, met with local shop owners and industry partners and presented their portfolios in mid-March.

Each student spent 20-30 minutes sharing their resume, examples of their work and various repairs with the auto service representatives.

Portfolio reviews have been held each term for the past three years for the graduating class to help prepare the students for the job market. It also serves as a chance for local business owners to interview potential new employees in a casual setting, help grow a more skilled and prepared workforce, and provide guidance for teaching current trends in automotive repair.

The Automotive Service Technology Program聽would like to thank the following participants for supporting its students, the program and participating in the portfolio reviews:

  • Scott LaPlante – Sherwood Auto Repair.
  • Steve Grimes – Honest-1 Auto Repair.
  • Katie Williams – World of Speed.
  • Geoff Helzer – Green Drop Garage.
