Details about this class
Welcome!
This writing class will help you move from personal writing to academic writing. We will study grammar, vocabulary, and composition. It's a fun class, but there will be a lot of work because summer terms are only 8 weeks. We do the same amount of work in a shorter time. Make sure that your schedule gives you enough time to do homework.
We will use a textbook called AMALGAMATION. You can print it at home or at the library for free. Or you can purchase a copy from the 小黄猫传媒 bookstore.
Technology
You will need to be able to use Google Docs, to watch and listen to videos online, and to use D2L and Gmail.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
