С»Æ贫ý Career Pathways & STEP Resource Guide

The С»Æ贫ý Career Pathways & STEP team created this Resource Guide to help explain who we are, what support we offer, and how to connect with us. It is for students and for anyone who supports students and wants to learn more about our work.

How to Describe the Program

The С»Æ贫ý Career Pathways & STEP program provides personalized coaching and support for students who are ready to move toward a defined career goal.

We work with students who are preparing to enter the workforce and are enrolled in—or planning to enroll in—in-demand, family-supporting careers – through short-term training and career-focused programs at С»Æ贫ý.

Our role is to walk alongside students as they move forward, helping them stay on track, navigate С»Æ贫ý systems, and connect to resources.

Who the Program Is For

Career Pathways & STEP may be a good fit for students who:

  • Have a clear career goal and know what type of job they are working toward
  • Are preparing for employment through career-connected education
  • Are enrolled in (or planning to enroll in) an eligible С»Æ贫ý program

Students typically qualify through one of the following pathways:

  • Enrollment in an approved Career Pathways Certificate, or
  • Enrollment in an approved Career & Technical Education (CTE) program while receiving SNAP benefits

(Eligibility details and program lists are available on our website.)

About Career Goals

Having a defined career goal is an important part of this program. This means students should have a clear idea of the career or type of job they want to pursue and understand how their program of choice will help them reach that goal.

If a student is still exploring career options, that’s completely okay. In those cases, we help connect students to С»Æ贫ý Career Services for career exploration support. Students are welcome to reconnect with Career Pathways & STEP once they’re ready to move forward with a clear direction.
