A little about me

Hi! I鈥檓 Lindsey.聽 I鈥檓 the afternoon Kitchen Aide at the CDC. I worked here聽 for a year and a half before the pandemic closed the school for 2 years.聽 It is so nice to finally be back.

I received my Culinary Assistant Certificate from 小黄猫传媒 in December of 2018.聽 While I was in the Culinary Assistant Program, I spent the last 3 months of my internship at the CDC.聽 I liked working with everyone so much that I applied to work here and was hired after I finished my program.

I was born in Honolulu.聽 Swimming was one of my favorite activities from the time I was a toddler. I moved to Chicago when I was 11 years old and after I graduated from high school I went to school on Cape Cod, Massachusetts for 3 years. In high school and at Cape Cod Community College I studied Early Childhood Education.聽 I then returned to Chicago and attended the PACE Program at National Louis University. My first internship in the PACE Program was in a preschool.聽 Then I worked at several hospitals, at a pet shop, and at a doggy day care.

I moved to Portland four and a half years ago with my mom.聽 We wanted to move here because my two older sisters had settled here.聽 We had visited Portland a number of times and loved it.聽 In my spare time I like to walk around my neighborhood in northeast Portland, checking out all the coffee shops, restaurants, and the Free Little Book Libraries.聽 I love to watch lots of different kinds of movies including the Hallmark Channel movies.聽 I also read a lot and I enjoy spending time with my sisters.

A little about me

My name is Nancy Frank and I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and I also have a Teaching Credential from the State of California.聽 I have worked in education for over 40 years and have had varied experiences with children in different childhood settings. I have always enjoyed being with children and getting to know them. I hope to help them聽 in any way that I can.聽 I look forward to getting to know your child and family.
