Designed for students exploring careers in healthcare and emergency professions, this flexible program builds a strong academic foundation while helping you prepare for the next step, whether that’s entering the workforce or applying to one of our amazing Healthcare and Emergency Professions (HEP) programs.

The Healthcare Pathways certificate requires at least 25 credits, including 8 credits of core coursework and 17 credits of electives. All students complete essential learning of Healthcare Career Essentials, Medical Terminology, and CPR/First Aid; this ensures a solid baseline of knowledge and skills. From there, you’ll work closely with an advisor to choose electives aligned with your goals, whether you’re interested in pursuing nursing, nursing assistant, radiography, medical assisting, dental hygiene, or an entry-level healthcare role.
