Supply list:
- Watercolor Paper 140lb, cold press, approx. 9鈥漻12鈥, 12-24 sheets (Canson is a good and affordable paper)
- Letter Size Clip wooden clipboard (larger board is fine)
- Masking Tape (Artist Drafting tape or dollar store masking tape)

- Eraser
- Paper Towels
- 3 Brushes:听聽聽 #8 or #10 Round Watercolor Brush, #4 Round Watercolor Brush, 戮鈥 or 1鈥 Flat Watercolor Brush聽 (Buy synthetic or synthetic blend in these sizes)
- Palette (I suggest a 10鈥 x 13鈥 plastic palette.聽 If this is out of your price range you can buy a small round one and bring a white plastic plate for extra mixing space)
- 2 Plastic Tubs for Water (32oz. Empty yogurt containers work great!)
- Scissors
- Only 3 tubes of paint:听 For this beginning watercolor class, I recommend starting with only 3 quality watercolors based on the CMY color wheel.聽 (These 3 paints include Magenta, Cyan blue and Yellow.)
- Hansa Yellow Light made by Daniel Smith, Da Vinci or Graham 聽(pigment code PY 3)
- Quinacridone Magenta by Winsor & Newton (pigment code PR 122)
- Winsor Blue (Green Shade) by Winsor & Newton (pigment code PB 15)
If you are unfamiliar with watercolor, these small tubes seem expensive but one small tube can go a long way!聽 You can buy other brands of watercolor paints but please note:听 colors and names from different manufacturers vary.聽 You can鈥檛 go by the color names! To get the correct CMY colors, disregard the specific color name and look for the specific pigment code listed above.
Optional supplies:聽 a plastic plate (for extra paint mixing), an apron and a hair dryer.
