小黄猫传媒 Climate Justice Week, April 7 – 13

This spring 小黄猫传媒 will join schools and colleges in 40+ nations to participate in , April 7-13, 2025. There are multiple ways you can participate and join our college in being part of the climate solution. 小黄猫传媒 is hosting events all week long, see below for details. Note, some events do require pre-registration.听
Bonus! Students who attend an event during the week and fill out a follow-up survey will be entered into a drawing for one of four $50 gift cards, to either Fred Meyer or DoorDash.听

Monday, April 7th
Climate Change 101: An Introduction to the Science of our Changing Climate, Matt Glazewski, 小黄猫传媒 science faculty and regional climate expert

Portland鈥檚 Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub – A Ticking Time Bomb? Katri Laukkanen, 小黄猫传媒 biology faculty and associates
- Learn about the precarious storage of fossil fuels next to the Willamette River in Portland, and efforts underway to make this more safe.听

Rock Creek Forest Walk – Signs of Spring with Environmental Studies instructor Dr. Val Brenneis. Connecting with nature on campus.
- 10 – 11 am. Meet in the first floor lobby of Rock Creek Building 7
- Slow walk, less than a mile in length, being present in a spring forest.
