Overview

小黄猫传媒 strives to provide safe, organized, and fair parking access for everyone. These rules help:

  • Keep vehicles safe on 小黄猫传媒 property.
  • Reduce congestion and make parking easier.
  • Follow state and federal laws.

Violations of these rules may result in the issuance of a parking citation.

Who Must Follow These Rules

  • Anyone parking on 小黄猫传媒 property, including cars, motorcycles, and other motorized vehicles.
  • 小黄猫传媒 students, staff, faculty, visitors, and vendors.

General Rules

  • Parking permits must be displayed after the first week of any term (fall, winter, spring, summer) Monday鈥揊riday, 7 a.m.鈥10 p.m.
  • Park only in legal parking spaces. Not finding a space is not an excuse.
  • Illegally parked vehicles may be towed or immobilized.
  • Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for citations issued to their guests or family members.
  • Parking lots are for vehicles only; trailers, tents, or other accessories may not be stored on 小黄猫传媒 parking lots or roadways.
  • Drivers may not leave animals or children unattended in vehicles.
  • Idling (leaving the engine on while parked) is not allowed unless the vehicle is hauling a refrigerated trailer.
  • Vehicles must have the license plates and VIN clearly displayed.

Parking Permits

  • All 小黄猫传媒 campuses require valid parking permits during enforcement hours.
  • Term permits must be displayed from the rearview mirror or driver鈥檚 side dashboard, ensuring information is visible through the front windshield.
  • Hourly permits: Must be displayed on the driver鈥檚 side dashboard with the payment details visible through the front windshield.
  • Vehicles belonging to the college, 鈥淓鈥 plates, and motorcycles in designated spots are exempt from buying a parking permit.
  • Having a parking permit does not guarantee a spot; all parking is first come, first served.
  • Expired or invalid permits are treated as no permit.
  • 小黄猫传媒 parking permits are required in addition to DMV issued ADA Placards. ADA Placards are always required in ADA parking spots.
  • Staff parking permits are required in staff lots until 6 p.m. General parking permits are allowed in staff lots after 6 p.m.

No Parking Areas

Do not park:

  • Blocking roads, curb cutouts, sidewalks, or bike lanes.
  • On landscaping, hash-marked spaces, or pedestrian areas.
  • Overnight without permission.
  • In bus/shuttle stops (except buses).
  • Blocking fire hydrants, driveways, or accessible routes.

Vehicles blocking traffic may be asked to move or towed at the owner鈥檚 expense.

Time-Limited Parking

  • Follow all posted time limits.
  • Move your vehicle once the time expires.
  • Loading/unloading zones: max 20 minutes while actively loading/unloading.

Authorized Parking Only

  • Only authorized vehicles may park in a college vehicle, bus, service vehicle, retail space or vendor parking space.
  • 小黄猫传媒 members may not park in a retail designated space.
  • Motorcycles must park in motorcycle spaces to take advantage of free parking.

Electric Vehicle Parking

  • EV charging: 3-hour max per day for all EV charging college-wide. Tracked by license plate.
  • EV spaces are for charging only. Vehicles not charging may not park in these spaces.
  • Non-electric vehicles may not park in EV stalls.
  • Use of EV charging stations is a privilege, not a right. The ability to charge is not guaranteed. EV owners are encouraged to have alternative means of charging their vehicles.
  • Employees, students, and visitors must have a current, valid parking pass to use the charging infrastructure.
  • A valid permit must be displayed while charging.

Vehicles must follow all parking rules and regulations. The inability to charge is not a valid reason to park illegally.

Occupying Parking Spaces

  • One vehicle per space.
  • Oversized vehicles should utilize street parking or use an extra stall with payment and permission from 小黄猫传媒 Transportation and Parking Services.

Vehicles that cannot fit without crossing the lines due to another vehicle or circumstance will need to find a different parking stall.

Roadway Parking

  • A valid parking permit is required on all roadways within 小黄猫传媒 property (any road past the gates).
  • Vehicles must park in the direction of traffic. Vehicles may not park facing oncoming traffic.
  • Obey all signs and roadway directional arrows.

Fire Lanes / No Parking Curbs

  • Red or yellow curbs: no parking except with signed loading exceptions.
  • Bus zones/shuttle stops: no parking ever.

Circumvention and Fraud

  • Do not display altered or forged term / hourly permits.
  • Do not display old citations on your windshield.
  • Do not give false information to Transportation and Parking Services.

Vehicles found to have altered or forged term / hourly permits may be immobilized or towed at the owner鈥檚 expense.

Disabled Parking

  • DMV-issued ADA placards must be displayed with a valid 小黄猫传媒 permit.
  • 小黄猫传媒 temporary disabled spots require a valid 小黄猫传媒 disability permit and paid parking.
  • Expired or invalid permits/placards are treated as no permit.
  • Wounded warrior or disabled veteran plates are not valid in ADA parking spaces without a DMV ADA placard.
  • A DMV issued ADA placard or 小黄猫传媒 temporary disabled permit does not cover the cost of parking. A separate parking permit must be purchased.

Neighborhood Parking

  • 小黄猫传媒 students, staff, visitors, and vendors must park on campus during 小黄猫传媒-related activities.
  • Parking in neighborhoods is prohibited and may lead to citations.

Neighborhood boundaries are not shared publicly to encourage on-campus parking and maintain good neighborhood relations.

Parking Citation Overview

  • Parking citations are issued for violating parking rules & regulations.
  • Citations may be paid or appealed within 30 days of the issuance date.
  • Late fees are added to a citation that is not paid or appealed within 30 days.
  • The 30鈥慸ay pay鈥憃r鈥慳ppeal period for one citation does not prevent additional citations from being issued.
  • Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for citations issued to their guests or family members.
