Architecture & Construction
- 小黄猫传媒 Fall Trades Career Fair: Swan Island, Friday, October 24. Open to high school students from 10am-12pm.
- Construction Industry Education Foundation’s Portland Trades Day: October 23. Free event including a Resume review station.

- : A free after-school program helping high school students find their career passions and paths toward jobs in architecture, construction management, and engineering. Application deadline November 6.

Oregon Tradeswomen鈥檚 Career Fair is a no-cost, interactive, trades-related career event highlighting apprenticeship and debt-free training options for lucrative careers in the construction, manufacturing, mechanical, energy, and utility industries. Hands-on opportunity for students to learn about apprenticeship and career opportunities in the skilled trades.
Automotive, Welding, & Clean Energy
- 小黄猫传媒 Auto Show & Open House: Learn more about 小黄猫传媒’s Auto Collision Repair Program on May 6th at the 小黄猫传媒 Rock Creek campus.
- Oregon Clean Energy Careers & Resources
- to learn where you fit into the Energy Sector
- : Open to high school seniors in Washington County public schools. Training begins in March at the NWRESD office in Hillsboro and continues in July at the Elite Truck School. Free to participate. Apply by Friday, Jan. 30
- :聽Insight to Engineering: On June 11, experience a “day in the life” as a track laborer to see how crews saw and drill rail, as well as install railroad spikes. Learn about engineering, welding, electrician, construction, and leadership careers within the railroad industry. Two sessions are offered, morning and afternoon. The event is open to the public. Students must be 16 years old.

Bioscience & Biomedical Sciences
- : Oregon Life Sciences offers this free interactive game to introduce students to career opportunities in bioscience, biotechnology, device manufacturing and life sciences.
- : Students 16 years old can participate in an 8-week summer internship with a Center scientist mentor.
- : Visit the Primate Center for 3 hours on each of five consecutive Fridays in either the Spring or Fall of each year. Students meet with West Campus scientists and experience hands-on activities and learning about the current research.
- : Open to all Oregon high school students, with a preference for underserved and rural communities. Applications to open Fall 2026.

Digital Media & Broadcast Journalism
- : Eight-day summer experience where students stay in residence halls on the Oregon State University campus, work with journalism professionals from The Oregonian/OregonLive and other Oregon media outlets, and use state-of-the-art facilities at Orange Media Network, Oregon State’s award-winning student media department. They will earn college credit upon completion while using real journalism skills to report and photograph a printed newspaper, blog and produce multimedia pieces that are published on OregonLive.com. 2026 applications due May 4th

Education & Early Childhood Education
- Early Childhood Education Career Onramp Cohort: Designed to build upon the knowledge students gained through high school CTE coursework, this program provides exposure to a variety of career opportunities in the early childhood field. Participants will also complete essential training and certifications needed for an entry-level position. Apply by May 1 鈥 Open to students who will be 18 years old by July 2026.

- Advancing Diversity in Manufacturing: Event at OMIC R&D, open to students from 9am-12pm. Feb. 19th
- Microchip Career Day: Tuesday, October 28, 9-11:30am, Gresham, OR
- Micron Summer Internship Program: 12 weeks, competitive compensation, Boise, ID. Housing and relocation are offered for non-local students.
- Oregon Institute of Technology scholarship: 4-year renewable $20,000 per year, including a paid summer internship with OMIC over 4 years. Deadline March 2nd

- Lab Assistant Positions: Open to high school students age 16 and up.
- Oregon National Primate Research Center Docent: Open to students 18 years and up
- : Students will gain hands-on exposure to real-world applications in cardiovascular medicine. Applications will open Feb. 2nd and be due May 1st聽
- : Monthly two-hour sessions are held at the School of Dentistry with a lecture and laboratory experience. Applications will open in October.
- :聽5-week program, November 鈥 December 2025. Students engage with local nursing schools and health care employers to explore careers in nursing, get peer coaching from nursing students, and gain hands-on experience. Apply before October 16.
- Pacific University Synapse Summer Camp: Held each summer on the Health Sciences campus of Pacific University in Hillsboro, this full-day camp experience is from 9:00am-4:00pm June 22-26th this year. Open to High School Sophomore and Juniors in Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas counties. 聽 –
- Providence Career Exploration Events: Various dates and topics
Dive into the diverse and dynamic field of healthcare with this engaging three-hour hands-on experience. Learn what it’s like to work in essential healthcare professions, understand the day-to-day responsibilities, and determine if a career in healthcare is the right fit for you. *Students under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent/guardian.
