Apply to the Paramedic certificate
To join this program, students must apply for admission. Graduates earn a Certificate of Completion. This program is for students who already have their Oregon EMT licensure and wish to pursue national Paramedic certification.

Meet with the EMS advisor
Make an appointment with EMS Advisor Michelle Butler聽to develop an educational plan that includes prerequisite coursework and outlines the application, admission, and enrollment requirements for both components of the Paramedic certificate: EMT coursework and Oregon EMT licensure, and Paramedic coursework leading to national Paramedic certification.

Take prerequisites
Prerequisite courses must be completed by the end of Summer term prior to starting paramedic coursework in winter term. All students are encouraged to meet with an EMS advisor prior to applying to ensure prerequisite course requirements have been fulfilled. All courses must be completed with a 鈥淐鈥 grade or better. Submit application
Once you have obtained your Oregon EMT License, apply to the Paramedic certificate to complete the remaining degree coursework.
After you apply
After submitting your online application, you will be contacted (via your 小黄猫传媒 email address) about your program admissions status and given permission to register if there are seats available. It is your responsibility to register for the appropriate courses. If you do not attend the first class session, you will be dropped from the class.
